60 главных альбомов Великобритании
Британская сеть мультимедийных магазинов “HMV” задалась целью определить 60 лучших альбомов из Великобритании с помощью голосования. Мероприятие было приурочено 60-летию королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II.
Так, главным диском в опросе меломанов оказался диск Iron Maiden “The Number of the Beast”, который набрал чуть более 9 процентов от всех голосов. На втором месте оказались Depeche Mode с культовой пластинкой “Violator”. Тройку замыкает The Beatles с “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. Примечательно, что на четвертом месте снова «ливерпульская четверка» уже с “Abbey Road” – разрыв между пластинками очень незначителен.
На пятом месте оказались Pink Floyd с альбомом “The Dark Side of the Moon”. Всего в десятке оказалось четыре лонгплея The Beatles – помимо упомянутых релизов, сюда вошли “Revolver” и “White Album”. Также одни из самых высоких позиций заняли Oasis, Queen и Адель. Radiohead оказались на 17 месте, а на 25 — их коллеги Coldplay.
